Carrier Strike Groups

• The USS Theodore Roosevelt CSG is currently located in the northern Arabian Sea conducting maritime security operations in the 5th Fleet area of responsibility (AOR), which includes Iraq and Afghanistan.
• The USS Abraham Lincoln is currently under way in the Southern California naval operating area conducting training and carrier qualification exercises.

Expeditionary Strike Groups

• The USS Essex ESG arrived in its home port of Sasebo, Japan, on Dec. 4 after completing its scheduled fall patrol with the 31st MEU.
• The USS Iwo Jima is currently conducting maritime security operations in the 5th Fleet AOR.
• The USS Boxer is currently conducting certification exercises with the 13th MEU off the coast of Southern California in preparation for an upcoming deployment.
